Roorkee, 24-Nov-2024: The Amar Ujala and Haridwar University music competition turned the university campus into a hub of musical talent and enthusiasm on Saturday. Participants from various schools mesmerized the audience with their singing skills, earning applause and admiration for their performances reminiscent of seasoned artists.

Solo and Group Performances Steal the Show

In the solo singing category, Ishika from Montfort School emerged victorious, earning the title of “King of Melodies.” Her soulful rendition captivated the audience and judges alike. The second position in the solo category was bagged by Yash Shree from DPS, while Ahal from Mount Litera Zee School secured third place.

The group singing competition saw stiff competition, with the DPS team clinching the first position. Sheffield School came in second, and Methodist Girls Inter College took third place. The winners were honored with trophies and certificates, marking a proud moment for the participants and their schools.

Grand Inauguration

The event commenced with a grand inauguration ceremony led by SP Rural Swapan Kishore Singh and Haridwar University Vice President Naman Bansal. They lit a ceremonial lamp in front of the statue of Maa Saraswati, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and art.
