Dear Students, Parents and Well-wishers,

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to Haridwar University, Roorkee, an institution nestled in the sacred land of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, where the timeless wisdom of the Ganga meets the spirit of modern inquiry. Blessed by this divine land, we see education as a sacred responsibility towards our students, our society and our nation, Bharat.

Education, in its truest sense, is not merely the acquisition of degrees but the shaping of character, competence and conscience. Our ancient scriptures remind us, “सा विद्या या विमुक्तये” — true knowledge is that which liberates. At Haridwar University, we are committed to nurturing individuals who think critically, act ethically and contribute meaningfully to the making of a Viksit Bharat.

We have wholeheartedly embraced the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in letter and spirit. Our academic framework offers multidisciplinary and holistic learning, flexible curricula with multiple entry and exit options, the Academic Bank of Credits, skill-based and value-added courses, internships and research-driven learning. We also place special emphasis on Indian Knowledge Systems, so that our students remain rooted in Bharat’s rich heritage while being fully prepared for the global stage.

We take pride in our dedicated faculty, who serve not only as teachers but as mentors guiding every student towards excellence. Beyond the classroom, our vibrant campus life, student clubs, cultural activities, sports and community outreach help students discover their talents and develop leadership, teamwork and a sense of social responsibility.

Under the visionary guidance of our Founder President, we continue to strengthen our academic ecosystem, industry collaborations and global partnerships, so that our students are equipped to succeed anywhere in the world while carrying the values of Bharat in their hearts.

Dream big, work with dedication, and never stop learning. I invite you to be a part of this journey. Together, let us build a future rooted in values, driven by knowledge and dedicated to the service of the nation.
