Today, a unique program was organized at Haridwar University, in which SP Rural Shekhar Chandra Suyal and Deputy Superintendent of Police Narendra Pant made the students aware of important issues related to anti-drugs and cybercrime.
The program started with the President of the University, CA SK Gupta and Vice President Mr. Naman Bansal welcoming the police officers and giving them mementos and bouquets. On this auspicious occasion, Professor Dr Dharambir Singh, the University’s Vice Chancellor, thanked everyone. At the same time, Pro-VC Dr Rama Bhargava, Professor Dr Adesh Kumar Arya, and Director Professor Vipin Saini shared their views on the increasing impact of cybercrime.
Dr Ekta Jain chaired the program, and Superintendent of Police Rural Shekhar Chandra Suyal told the students about the ill effects of drugs and cybercrime through an inspirational story. He explained how drug addiction and cybercrime can ruin the lives of youth.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Narendra Pant, who himself has obtained a B.Tech degree in Computer Science while interacting with the students, said that nowadays, engineering students are brilliant. Still, drug addiction and involvement in cybercrime can push them towards mental stress and depression.
The Superintendent of Police (Rural) also gave detailed information to the students about the damages caused by cybercrime and the measures to prevent it. He said that students need to be aware of drug addiction and cybercrime, and they should always get guidance in the right direction.
The SHO of Kaliyar police station also shared essential things to make the students aware. He told the students that to avoid drug addiction and cyber crime, they should maintain their identity and self-respect. He also talked about walking on the right path and understanding one’s responsibility towards society. In the end, the program was concluded by Professor D.B. Singh with a vote of thanks. On this auspicious occasion, Registrar Sumit Chauhan, Dean Prof. Dr Yashveer Singh, Prof. Dr Himadri Phukan, Prof. Dr Rohit, Prof. Dr Sumit, Prof. Sonia Sharma, Prof. Vijay Mandal, Prof. Himanshu, Prof. Mansi Morya, Prof. Dr Nadeem Khan etc. were present.
