Lohri Celebration 2026 | Haridwar University Campus Event

Haridwar University joyfully celebrated the festival of Lohri on 13 January 2026 with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit. The event, organized on campus, witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and staff.

v  The celebration commenced with the traditional lighting of the bonfire, symbolizing warmth, positivity, and togetherness. Students gathered around the fire, singing folk songs and immersing themselves in the festive atmosphere.

v  A variety of cultural performances added vibrancy to the event, including traditional Punjabi dances such as Bhangra and Gidda, along with music and engaging activities. The lively energy and colorful presentations made the celebration truly memorable.

v  To enhance the festive spirit, traditional Lohri delicacies like popcorn, peanuts, rewri, and gajak were distributed among everyone, adding sweetness to the occasion.
