Student Clubs
At Haridwar University, Roorkee we have plethora of talent in our students and for all round development of a person, it is important to ensure that, in addition to development of a sound academic persona with relevant engineering skills, they also have opportunities to express themselves in totality. The hidden talent has to come out, and our clubs play a commendable role in this direction. The mantra for students club and their organization is “Overall Personality Growth.”
Vision
To prepare the students of the institute to organize, participate and execute various extra-curricular activities to surface and enhance the latent capabilities and competence of the students by promoting hobby development and stress bursting ambience in order to connect each and every student to at least one of the club in the cluborate.
Mission
- To organize at least two events per semester under each club.
- To associate each student of the institute to at least one of the clubs under the cluborate.
- Further enhance the quality and broaden the spectrum of the activities under each clubs.
Srijan Club(Creativity)
Srijan is a student club related to major creative activities. The major Activities/ events organized by Srijan club are Face Painting, Rangoli, Recycling the waste, clay art, Painting, and Palm Art.
Face Painting
The club i organizes several face painting competition every year. The face painting competition themes are Jungle Animals, nature, Horror etc. You certainly let your imagination run riot and came up with realism, comedy, fantasy and a high-calibre of technical beauties.
Rangoli
Rangoli is an art, in which patterns are created on the floor or Entrance using materials such as colored rice, dry flour, and colored sand or flower petals. The purpose of Rangoli is decoration, and it is thought to bring good luck. The club, Srijan organizes Rangoli competition to develop Indian culture in our students.
Recycling Waste
Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of the "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" waste hierarchy. Haridwar University, Roorkee focusses at reuse and recycle process of plastic material. Srijan is responsible for organizing activities like seminars and technical discussion over How to promote Recycling and Reuse and Reduce the use of Plastic material.
Clay Arts
Pot Decoration through clay is the major competition in clay art activity at Haridwar University, Roorkee.
Painting
Organizing Painting competition is one of the regular events of Srijan Club.Technical paintings; Paintings on world environment days, Woman’s Day etc. are the major events for organizing competition.
Palm Art
Srijan club organize palm art activity and various competitions at Haridwar University, Roorkee along with other events.
Photography
Photography is a platform to bring together the likeminded people and share knowledge about the art and science of Photography. The club encourages students to study light and imparts tips on composition.
The club organises activities that give a chance to learn photography, utilise their camera to the fullest and become sensitised to the world around.
The club “focuses” on interaction between experts and students in addition to enhancing peer learning in photography and build an environment to capture memories forever.
Aaarogyam Club(Health)
Aaarogyam is a student club for health and fitness related activities and programs. The club organize and celebrates their major events like World Yoga day, art of Living activity, Aerobics, etc.
Yoga
Yoga activities are organized and performed by the club on the occasion of World Yoga day 21st- June, Every Year and to make aware peoples importance of yoga by taking the advantages of its attachment to Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar.
Stress Management
The club is organizing regular session for stress management for students during exams to teach them about how to handle pressure during those tense days.
Art of Living
Art of Living is the activity engaged in many social services. Its areas of work covers conflict resolution, disaster and trauma relief, poverty alleviation, empowerment of women, prisoner rehabilitation, education for all, campaigns against female feticide and child labour and environment sustainability. The Aaarogyam Club is primarily responsible for the events.
Aerobics
Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of improving all elements of fitness flexibility,muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness). The Aaarogyam Student club organizes Aerobic session on regular basis in presence of professional Aerobic trainer.
Soch Club (Cultural)
The college takes several measures to develop the over-all personalities of the students through co-curricular activities. Social and religious festivals are celebrated with traditional zeal and fervour to enable the students to understand and appreciate our rich cultural heritage. The students club “Soch” is responsible for organizing all kind of cultural activities during several cultural events.
Aarambh
‘Aarambh’ a Fresher Party is organized in the campus every year to welcome the newly admitted students.
Yaadien-Farewell
‘Yaadien’ a Farewell Party is organized in the campus every year for the passing out students.
Freeonz
This is a mega cultural Annual fest organized by Students and cultural club “SOCH” at Roorkee College of Engineering, Roorkee.
Madhuram
A cultural program with the name ‘Madhuram’ is organized in the mid of each semester by the Hostel Students.
Sahyog Club(Social)
RCE Roorkee occupies a pride of place in Uttarakhand for organizing various social service activities. Student Clubs are responsible to promote the interests of students for participating in these social activities.

Society Awareness
The club works to make students morally literate and socially responsible so that they prove to be valuable not only for technical competency but also for work-ethics of any organization and are inspired to utilize their education for larger interests of society and nation.
Patriotism
The club is organizes several activities like essay writing, provoking lectures, lively discussion, and group discussion on several issues related to patriotic feelings, Debates, group activities.
Building Nation
The duty of the Sahyog club is to teach wisdom & not the trade, for Nation building. We know that wisdom is integral to moral upliftment through self-awareness. The club aims to provide an environment to students, making them aware of the importance of ethics and human values in life and the problems, our society and nation is facing so as to make them more conscious of self and surroundings.
Stage of Empire
In order to promote entrepreneurship and out-turn future leaders, the event’s first round included decision making resource management and market strategies to boost their armies, followed by the second round which involved diplomatic strategies in order to find the hidden crown.
