हरिद्वार यूनिवर्सिटी (पूर्व रूड़की कॉलेज ऑफ इन्जीनियरिंग), रूडकी शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में अपना एक उत्कृष्ट स्थान रखता है। इसका प्रतीक चिन्ह विद्यार्थियो के शैक्षिणिक विकास के सभी पहलुओं को वर्णित करता है। प्रतीक चिन्ह में एक नीला चक्र दिखाया गया है जो विद्यार्थी को शिक्षा में गतिशीलता, शक्ति और निर्णय लेने की क्षमता का प्रतीक है। नारंगी रंग का उगता सूरज शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में निरंतर विकास, मनन शक्ति, दृढ निश्चय और मजबूती प्रदान करता है। हरा रंग प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य, उदारता तथा नई स्फूर्ति का प्रतीक है। इनकी संयुक्त क्षमता विद्यार्थियो को न्यायप्रियता, स्थिरता एवम् बुद्धि के असीमित विकास का प्रतिनिधित्व करना सिखाती है। ज्ञानं परमं बलम् सच्चा ज्ञान सकारात्मक ऊर्जा प्रदान करता है और विश्व के पटल पर विद्यार्थियों को सशक्त बनाता है। नई शिक्षा, नव विचार विद्यार्थी के शारीरिक, आर्थिक व मानसिक विकास के लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। वह उसे नये आविष्कार, नई कल्पनायें एवं नये विचार अपनाने के लिए सदैव प्रेरणा देता है।
