The four-year degree program in B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture at HU seeks to offer agricultural students both theoretical and practical elements. To provide students with practical quality education as per state of academics, several laboratories in the agriculture department are established that help them grow practically, one of which is the soil testing lab, which assists local farmers in testing the productivity level of their fields' soil.
To keep up with the changing times in the area of medical plants, the Department maintains a Herbal Garden with a variety of therapeutic plant species. Students have firsthand experience in identifying medicinal plants and herbs, as well as cultivating and collecting them. AI can be introduced in agricultural sector to increase productivity of the crop per square meter area by using various latest trending technologies.
