Prof. Rama Bhargava boasts an illustrious career spanning 43 years at IIT Roorkee. Throughout her tenure, she has supervised 22 Ph.D. scholars and 75 Master's theses, and has authored over 140 papers in prestigious international journals. Despite being selected for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1979, she chose to pursue her passion for teaching and research.
Prof. Bhargava is a distinguished scholar and recipient of several prestigious awards, including the DAAD Fellowship, the Australian Endeavour Executive Award, and the INSA Fellowship (Royal Society of London). Her extensive administrative experience at IIT Roorkee includes serving as the Head of the Department of Mathematics, Head of QIP, Dean of Administration, member of the Board of Governors, and member of the Institute Finance Committee.
An esteemed expert in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Prof. Bhargava has undertaken numerous research projects sponsored by prominent organizations such as NBHM, ISRO, DST, and AICTE. She has also chaired numerous technical sessions globally, contributing significantly to the advancement of her field. Prof. Bhargava's international engagements and leadership in various capacities underscore her standing as a prominent figure in academia and research.

Haridwar University, since its inception, is known for multi-dimensional growth in teaching and a unique mission of developing qualified technocrats. HU provides overall development of the personality of young budding engineers, entrepreneurs in pharmacy, agriculture, management and research. Our main emphasis is on imparting innovation, deep learning and professionalism in accordance with the state of art. Unique teaching methodologies with various value added programs foster the students with application oriented thinking, to serve the country in a better way. In order to maintain synchronism with fast pace of technology development, HU is working actively on simulation of human intelligence process with computer using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for the students. With the alumni of HU, the university is getting its recognition globally.
