What Does "Rangmanch" Mean?
Our Core Purpose
To give every student of Haridwar University their own stage. The club celebrates India's breathtaking cultural mosaic, nurtures performance crafts and fine arts, organizes all high-energy celebrations and the flagship annual cultural fest, and stands as the vivacious heartbeat of university campus life.

Wings of Rangmanch Club
Five dedicated wings catering to every spectrum of artistic and performance expression.
Music Wing
Vocal and instrumental training covering Indian classical, semi-classical, contemporary, acoustic, and student indie rock bands.
Dance Wing
Classical Bharatanatyam and Kathak, vibrant Garhwali & Kumaoni folk troupes, western hip-hop, and freestyle dance ensembles.
Dramatics & Nukkad Natak
Stage plays, street theatre (nukkad natak), mime, and monologue scripts tackling socially poignant issues across public spaces.
Literary Wing
Poetry recitals, bilingual debates (Hindi & English), extempore speaking, creative writing, and the weekly Open Mic.
Fine Arts & Design Wing
Canvas painting, charcoal sketching, rangoli, digital illustration, origami, and themed campus installations for all festivals.
Club Objectives
Identify, mentor, and elevate raw student talent in music, dance, theatre, literature, photography, and the fine arts.
Plan and orchestrate all university cultural galas, festive celebrations, and the flagship Utkarsh annual extravaganza.
Celebrate and preserve Uttarakhand's rich folk heritage (Garhwali and Kumaoni traditions) while welcoming modern and international art forms.
Proudly represent Haridwar University at regional and national inter-university cultural competitions.

Annual Cultural Fest - Utkarsh 2027
Haridwar University's premier 3-day cultural extravanganza from 12 to 14 April 2027. Features inter-college competitions in music, dance, drama, nukkad natak, literary arts, battle of bands, fashion showcases, and food carnivals.
Vibrant Festival Celebrations
Authentic celebrations of Teej, Janmashtami, Navratri Garba Nights, Dussehra featuring full-length Ramleela staged by the Dramatics Wing, Diwali Mela, Lohri, Basant Panchami, Holi Milan, and Christmas / New Year galas.
Student Celebrations, Birthdays & Outings
Monthly collective birthday celebrations for campus hostellers and day scholars, scenic picnic tours to Rishikesh ghats, Mussoorie hills, and Rajaji National Park, paired with energetic campus DJ nights after major fests.
Fresher's Welcome & Farewell Galas
High-voltage welcome ceremonies including Mr. & Ms. Fresher competitions, talent display rounds, and emotional graduation farewells celebrating every departing batch.
Weekly Open Mic & Kavi Sammelan
A relaxed Friday evening slot in the amphitheatre or auditorium for original Hindi & Urdu shayaris, stand-up comedy, acoustic jamming, and spoken word storytelling.
Nukkad Natak Street Outreach
Our award-winning street-theatre squad travels across Roorkee and Haridwar performing powerful nataks on women empowerment, literacy, hygiene, and civic responsibilities.
Inter-University Youth Festivals
Representing Haridwar University at the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) National Youth Festivals, Uttarakhand State Youth Fest, and cultural fests of IIT Roorkee, Graphic Era, and DIT.
Audition for Rangmanch Club
Open auditions for vocalists, instrumentalists, classical/folk dancers, actors, and anchors are conducted every semester. No previous professional experience required — only passion and commitment!
