Etymology & Meaning

What Does "Shodh" Mean?

Shodh is the classical Hindi and Sanskrit word for research, purification, scholarly investigation, and the systematic search for truth and knowledge. It stands for curious minds refusing to accept status-quo assumptions.

Our Core Purpose

To cultivate an active research ethos across every discipline at Haridwar University — Engineering, Computer Applications, Applied Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Agriculture, and Management. By actively supporting the university's IQAC, IPR Cell, and research promotion policies, Shodh ensures research is an accessible undergraduate adventure, not just a doctoral obligation.
